Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson, an artist's daughter, born in Mexico was born into the music-loving parents of her family. The majority of her early years listening to classical music and boleros of the past, traditional ranchero or romantic songs and old classical pieces. Ana is a fan of tangos and operas as well as other dramatic performances. Ana began learning to play and sing at an early age together with her mom. She was given more formal training in singing at the age of 16 old under the famous Mexican Tenor Flavio BECARRA. The musical training continued with the School of Music of the University of Guadalajara, and later to the School of Sacred Music in Toluca, Mexico. As a student and being a young professional in Mexico City and Guadalajara she was a member of several chamber ensembles and choirs. She sang in the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus in the United States before moving to Southern California. She currently performs the traditional Latin American songs at private occasions as a soloist. As a musician and teacher she has volunteered for many projects in the community because of her love and passion for music. Ana was also a member of the Community Chorus of Redlands and Inland Master Chorale. She is presently a professor at The Performance Loft. Ana is privileged to be able to share with others her passion for the tradition of Latin American music. She hopes this can help younger generations continue the tradition.
